This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed via hikingent.com (U.S.-only shipping at this time). We strive to deliver your hiking gear promptly and securely, so you can hit the trails sooner.

1. Order Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 2 business days of payment confirmation (excluding weekends, holidays, and peak seasons like spring/summer hiking months).
  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email (with a tracking number) once your order is dispatched.

2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We use USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground for all U.S. orders (selected based on package size and destination):
  • Delivery Time: 3–7 business days from the date of shipping (varies by location; remote trail regions may take 1–2 additional days).
  • Shipping Restrictions: We do not ship to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or international locations at this time.

3. Shipping Costs

  • Standard Shipping: $5.99 (for orders under $75).
  • Free Standard Shipping: Available for orders over $75 (U.S. addresses only).
  • Expedited Shipping (2–3 business days): $12.99 (available at checkout for eligible locations).

4. Address Accuracy

  • You are responsible for providing a correct, complete shipping address. If an order is returned due to an incorrect/incomplete address, you will be charged a re-shipping fee (equal to the original shipping cost) to resend the gear.

5. Delayed or Lost Shipments

  • Carrier Delays: We are not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers (e.g., weather, logistics disruptions). Track your order via the provided tracking number for real-time updates.
  • Lost Shipments: If your order is marked “delivered” but not received, contact the carrier first (USPS/UPS) to file a claim. If the carrier cannot locate the package, email us at contact@hikingent.com (include your order ID) for further assistance.

6. Shipping for Returns/Exchanges

  • For eligible returns/exchanges (per our Refund Policy), you are responsible for return shipping costs (non-refundable) unless the item is defective or incorrect.
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service for high-value gear (e.g., backpacks, sleeping bags)—we do not guarantee receipt of non-trackable return shipments.
